Freenet Warehouse Pty Ltd is an approved supplier of Round 2 of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts On Farm Connectivity Program (OFCP).
While the round is not yet open for rebates, we are happy to discuss your connectivity needs in preparation for the opening of the round. For those intending to apply, we will not be entering any agreements or taking any payments prior to the opening of the round as the sale of eligible equipment prior to the opening date will not be eligible for rebates.
What is the program?
The OFCP is a federal government program. There is $18 million in funding to subsidise 50% rebates for the cost of smart farming technology.
Approved Suppliers can claim up to $30,000 rebate for sales of digital farming technology to eligible Primary Producers to help improve their connectivity and productivity.
The program is part of the Better Connectivity Plan for Regional and Rural Australia and aims to assist primary producers to take advantage of digital agribusiness solutions to boost productivity, improve safety and drive more sustainable farming practices.
Eligible Primary Producers
To participate in the program, your business must:
- be a registered business and have an Australian Business Number (ABN), registered for at least 12 months.
- have an annual average pre-tax income from primary production between $40,000 and $4 million.
- operate an eligible primary production activity. The full list can be found in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines, Appendix D.
- not be a hobby farmer.
How can you benefit?
- A rebate of 50% of the cost of eligible digital farming technology.
- The minimum grant (rebate) amount is $1,000.
- The maximum grant (rebate) amount is $30,000.
- Applications will be reviewed in order of receipt until available funding is exhausted.

The Process to Follow
- You Get a Quote. Contact Us. Discuss your needs with us.
- We Prepare Grant Application. We ask you for details as needed to complete the application.
- We Submit Grant Application. We apply to the government for a grant on your behalf.
- You Confirm Application Details Online. The government sends you an email asking you to logon to their portal, and confirm the grant application details.
- We Receive Application Outcome. The government asseses the grant application, then notifies us of the outcome, and the rebate amount that can be can claimed.
- We Update the Quote. Including the rebate amount as a discount.
- You Pay the updated quote amount.
- We Ship the quoted items.
- We Submit Grant Claim. This must be done within 60 days from the date we are notified that the application is eligible.
- You confirm using the government portal, that the equipment was delivered as agreed
- We are Paid. The government pays us the claim amount.
