airFiber 60 GHz Radio System Featuring Wave Technology with True Duplex Gigabit Performance for PtP Links up to 12 km.
The AF60 LR is a 60 GHz system designed for high-throughput connectivity over an extended range. The airFiber 60 LR features the integrated high-gain dish antenna for high speed, long-range performance Point-to-Point (PtP) links. New WaveTechnology enables incredible long-range performance within the 60GHz spectrum.
Each unit now comes with a durable, snap-on snow cover. The Snow Radome Cover is a highly durable snow cover designed to help airFiber 60 LR radios withstand harsh winter temperatures and conditions. Manufactured from a single piece of polycarbonate, this radome cover easily snaps onto a AF60 LR radio without obstructing the built-in LEDs that indicate key device status and configuration information.

Recommended Surge Protector
GbE POE Surge Protector
This in-line surge protector is suitable for use with the Ubiquiti airFiber.
From the airFiber User Guide:
|
Note: For added protection, we recommend installing two GigE PoE surge protectors. Install the first surge protector within one meter of the airFiber DATA port, and install the second surge protector at the ingress point of the location housing the wired network equipment. |
|
This surge protector is used in-line on a Cat5/Cat5e connection, and is used to help protect:
- ethernet interface damage in the event of nearby lightning storms, and
- building damage in the event of a direct lightning strike where a current surge flows down the ethernet cable.
